I love photographing my kids and wanted to be able to capture other people's kids the way I photographed mine. Through word-of-mouth, my little business grew!
I just launched Cat Herndon Photography in May 2011. Before that I was a freelance graphic designer for 6 years. I am so thankful for my clients, fans and friends who have supported me and help me along this new venture!
I consider myself an artist. I enjoy sewing, graphic design, painting, crocheting, writing, photography and crafts of all sorts. I inherited my LOVE of art from my Grandmother who is such an inspirational person. She does it all and I am so glad that she passed some of that knowledge down to me. One day, I hope to pass that along to my children.
Until then, I am sharing my craft with you. Like any craft, I am constantly learning, changing, evolving. I love color and props, but I also like simplicity. A majority of my photos are in COLOR. I will occasionally use black and white, but only when I think a photograph would look better in black and white.
My style is relaxed and fun! I love bright and colorful photos. I am a natural-light photographer and I shoot on-location in the Corpus Christi, Texas area.
